Thursday Morning Haiti Update

We were in contact with Kristen and her baby, Karis, in the wee hours of the morning today. We were able to give her information about two potential flights out of Haiti to Florida. She has an internet connection, for now. She was able to blog about her experiences this morning. She is safe and has food and water but is very emotionally shaken. Dead bodies are lining the streets and tremors continue to roll through the island. You can read her blog here.

Please continue to pray for the Haitian people. And when I say pray, I mean, hit your knees right now.

Please GIVE. Please give generously to one of the following organizations.

You can follow the missionaries Kristen is staying with here. This morning, they blogged that the best way for non-medical, non-Creole speaking people to help is to give money to an aid organization.

Heartline Ministries This is where Kristen is, it is the orphanage they are adopting from. Heartline is setting up makeshift clinics in the streets to treat the injured.

World Vision already on the ground

Samaritan's Purse already on the ground

Medical Teams International team arrives in Haiti today.

Overlake Christian Church We will take up an special offering on Sunday - or you can donate online and designate "Haiti" on the memo
Red Cross already on the ground
