Today we are in California (land of the "fruits and nuts", according to my Uncle Billy, aka "Uncle BUNDY") visiting family - both sides. There are cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents that we are trying to connect with in the very short space of 6 days.
Alex and Caleb have been incredibly excited about visiting their cousins. Like, no worries if we can't do Disneyland if it means we get to play with our cousins kind of excited.
Today, my dear hearted children decided to change the dirty diaper of their 2 year old cousin. ON. THEIR. OWN. Caleb (6) removed the diaper. Alex (8) found some toilet paper and wiped the butt crack. Upon being overwhelmed by the stench of someone else's poop, Caleb decided to seek help from my youngest sister saying, "Um, Andi....can you PLEASE come here. There's something weird." Andi, bless her 19 year old heart, saved the day and helped the Dynamic Duo resolve what has now come to be known in our family as "The Great Diaper Caper."
Alex and Caleb fell asleep tonight totally wiped out. They cared for their cousins, resolved some crappy crises and had their fill of family dynamics.
I'm right behind them.
LOVE it.

and i laughed at the title of this post before i even read it.
also said, 'oh no!' anticipating what it could possibly be about!

SWEET! Does this mean I don't have to change diapers for the next few days?
